Getting started with iVCam Webcam

This guide will walk you through everything you need to get started – step by step.


Step 1: Install the iVCam App on Your Phone or Tablet

iVCam is available for:

  • iOS (iPhone/iPad): Download from the App Store
  • Android (Phone/Tablet): Download from Google Play

Make sure your mobile device is connected to Wi-Fi or has a USB cable ready for tethered use.


Step 2: Install the iVCam Windows Client

On your Windows PC:

  1. Visit the download website here.
  2. Download the iVCam Windows client.
  3. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

Note: iVCam currently supports Windows only.


Step 3: Connect Your Phone to Your PC

You have two connection options:

Option A: Wi-Fi (Recommended)

  • Ensure both your phone and PC are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Launch the iVCam app on your phone.
  • Open the iVCam client on your PC.
  • The connection should happen automatically.

Option B: USB (For better stability and performance)

  • Connect your phone to your PC using a USB cable.
  • iPhone: Install iTunes and trust the PC when prompted.
  • Android: Enable USB debugging in Developer Options and install any required drivers.

Step 4: Configure iVCam Settings

On the mobile app and PC client, you can adjust:

  • Video resolution: 4K, 2K, 1080p, 720p, and more
  • Frame rate and quality
  • Camera selection: front, rear, wide-angle, telephoto
  • Orientation: landscape or portrait
  • Audio settings: enable your phone as a wireless mic
  • Advanced controls: zoom, focus, white balance, ISO, exposure

Tip: You can switch between cameras and orientations in real time during a call or recording.


Step 5: Use iVCam with Other Applications

Once connected, you can use iVCam in any application that supports webcams, such as:

  • Zoom
  • Microsoft Teams
  • OBS Studio
  • Skype
  • Discord
  • Google Meet
  • Twitch

In your application’s settings, select “e2eSoft iVCam” as the video source. For audio, select “e2eSoft iVCam Audio” if you’re using the phone as a microphone.


Step 6: Preview, Record, and Capture

Using the iVCam Windows client, you can:

  • Preview your live camera feed
  • Take photos
  • Record video directly to your PC
  • Apply background effects like blur, bokeh, mosaic, green screen, and custom images

Optional: Troubleshooting

If you experience connection issues:

  • Ensure both devices are on the same network (for Wi-Fi)
  • Restart both the app and the PC client
  • Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software
  • Try using a USB connection instead of Wi-Fi
  • Reinstall the app if needed
